The documenta Institut

The documenta Institut is being established in cooperation between the State of Hesse, the City of Kassel, documenta und Museum Fridericianum gGmbH, and the University of Kassel with the Kunsthochschule, with financial support for the construction project from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media. In 2020, Professor Dr. Heinz Bude was appointed as the founding director. As part of the development of the documenta Institute, three tenure-track professorships were filled in 2021 in the departments of Humanities and Cultural Studies, Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Planning and Social Sciences at the University of Kassel with funding from the State of Hesse.
