Yulia Gromova is a research associate at the documenta Institute and the University of Kassel. Previously, she was an editor at Strelka Mag and a research associate of The New Normal Program at Strelka Institute for Media Architecture and Design. Her collaborative work has been published in POLITO's Ardeth magazine (2019) and exhibited at the Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale Of Urbanism / Architecture (2020) and shown as part of the Turkish Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2021) and other exhibitions. Yulia Gromova is a research associate at the documenta Institute and the University of Kassel.
Research project
Yulia Gromova's long-term research focuses on a range of issues facing modernism in a time of ecological emergency. Yulia critically engages with current sustainability narratives and explores how modern society can move away from dependence on fossil fuels and carbon-intensive economies.
