Vita
Studied art history, media theory, philosophy and aesthetics at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design and at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Doctorate at the Université de Fribourg (CH) with the thesis “Empfindsamkeitsarchitektur. The Hameau de la Reine in Versailles”, funded by a scholarship from the Gerda Henkel Foundation. 2012-2013 Research assistant at the Department of Art History at the University of Hamburg (Chair of Modern and Contemporary Art). 2013-2014 Research assistant at the Institute of Art History at the University of Zurich (Chair of Modern Art). From 2016 senior assistant at the Chair of Modern Art History at the Department of Art History at the University of Basel. Teaching assignments at HEAD Genève, Universidad de Lisboa, Universidade Federal de São Paulo and the University of Toronto, among others. Occasional curator and art critic. Since 2021 Professor of Art and Knowledge at the University of Kassel, with a secondary membership at the Kunsthochschule and the documenta Institut.
