Rückblick auf das Symposium "Die documenta fifteen als Zäsur? Kunst, Politik und Öffentlichkeit"

11 / 2023

On November 17 and 18, 2023, the symposium "The documenta fifteen as a caesura? Art, Politics, the Public Sphere" took place at UK14 in Kassel.
Based on documenta fifteen, which became the focal point of a debate on the presence of the Holocaust and colonialism, the discussions focused on its impact on art, politics and the public.

The evening opened with welcoming speeches by Andreas Hoffmann, Angela Dorn, Sven Schoeller and Sari Golan. Heinz Bude moderated the four talks, each of which was followed by a question and answer discussion from the audience. We welcomed Nicole Deitelhoff, Meron Mendel, Natan Sznaider and Thomas Macho (live via video stream), Klaus Holz, Maria Neumann and Yael Kupferberg as guests.
We would like to thank all speakers, visitors and employees for a successful event!
